An LLP is a Licensed Legal Paraprofessional.

LLPs have a specific law license from the Colorado Supreme Court to practice family law and represent clients in family law matters in Colorado, with some limitations.

Unbundled legal services are also known as “limited scope” legal services. In an unbundled representation, the LLP does not enter the case on behalf of the client. Instead, the client is in charge of their own case but retains the LLP to assist with various issues throughout the case.

Sometimes this means the LLP is in the background, providing consultation services at the request of the client on the client’s schedule. Sometimes this means the LLP assists with drafting and the preparation of other documents like marital balance sheets.

Clients can also choose to engage the LLP for limited scope representation to be their advocate during mediation or settlement conferences.

At Two Roads, Ashley offers unbundled/limited scope family law legal services designed to fit each client’s needs.

At the initial consultation, which is held by video conference or phone, Ashley will gather information about your family and your specific legal needs.

You will be asked questions about your case and about what you hope to achieve in the outcome of your case. Ashley will then provide you with a legal consultation, explaining your rights and responsibilities in your case, as well as provide you with legal advice and potential case strategy based on the information you provide.

Ashley will also answer your questions about the case and provide information regarding the services offered by Two Roads to fit your unique needs.

Every divorce is different. There are a lot of factors to consider, including whether your LLP will offer advice on an unbundled or full representation basis, the value and complexity of your marital estate, and whether you and your spouse want an amicable divorce. If one party engages in behavior that drives up conflict, the case can become more expensive as a result.

LLPs are licensed by the Colorado Supreme Court to represent clients in a variety of family law matters pursuant to Colorado Rules of Civil Procedure Rule 207.
